In 2019, 28 individuals from the real estate industry raised over $220,000 for Hands Across the Water through the inaugural Digital Live charity bike ride. The funds from this program will provide kids with an opportunity of choice through education, in addition to future opportunities when it comes time for the kids to leave Hands Across the Water’s homes.
In 2020, Steve Carroll has committed to expanding the bike ride to not one but two 500km rides through Thailand to raise $500,000 to support this initiative and give riders a true ‘human upgrade’.
The 2020 Digital Live Ride (and 2021 ride) is set to go bigger and better with riders from the UK and NZ real estate industry joining this incredible shared experience. Anyone and everyone from across the real estate sector is invited to join. The ride is a place for the industry to come together as one. not only making a difference to the lives of those are that less fortunate, but making a difference in their own lives as well.
The primary purpose of Hands is to provide a life of choice for disadvantaged children in Thailand. We believe the best way to do this is by raising funds through meaningful and shared experiences.
In just over 14 years, Hands Across the Water has raised more than $25 million for the children and communities in Thailand, and now cares for more than 350 children, with 47 of those in university.
The Hands community that works so hard to generate the funds necessary to enable Hands to create a life of choice, often benefit more than they could ever imagine, by supporting someone else.
